Ramen Bomb
A hiker staple, the ramen bomb is a tasty, cheap, filling meal. Named because it uses noodles and can have a lot of calories.
Ingredients
• Packet or two of ramen (usually one seasoning sachet is enough)
• Instant mashed potatoes (not the whole package, usually a 1/4-1/2 works well)
• Spam, tuna or some other kind of meat/protein
That's it for a pretty basic ramen bomb. Thru-hikers get creative and sometimes add more from their food sack. Cheetos, chips, cheese, whatever they come up with is fair game and huge calories!
How to Make:
• Throw ramen into water to boil
• Then the seasoning packet
• Wait a few minutes
• Don't dump off that water! Extra is probably better
• When you pour in the instant mash potatoes it'll suck up the water pretty quick
• Add anything else and enjoy
