It's ALL good
A short mile or two, longer day hike, overnighters, week long backpacking trips or thru-hiking are ALL good.
Don't feel like you have to make big miles to have fun in the great outdoors. It's for everyone at every skill level. Grab friends, family, water, snacks and go. Find something close by.
You don't need the latest and greatest gear. Use what you have. If you feel you want more/better gear, slowly build up to it.
Document your hike. For yourself first. Social media second (if that's your thing). Maybe that's snapping photos or videos with your phone. It could be writing in a journal or sketching and painting what sticks out to you.
There is adventure not too far from you at this very moment. Get out there!
